United Youth EVENTS

Youth love a crowd. The outreach of individual youth ministries can be greatly enhanced through the momentum created by united events — which draw a bigger crowd.

These might be social or fun events — in which there is simple prayer, a devotion and invitation to youth groups.

These might be directly outreaching events — in which there are creative arts including dance, drama, music items and spoken words — with testimony and a gospel message to follow.

Outreach equipping, and the encouragement of annual habits to build an outreaching culture.

best accessed via the free monthly e-updates, this NZ-made resource for youth groups includes 5min conversational outreach equipping videos with discussion guides, and 5min youth leader training videos withing ‘building an outreaching culture’ is a focus (videos 4 and 5).

Available online, this NZ-made resource from Catalyst includes 3 x 15min videos to equip youth and young adults for evangelism.

Speakers

Without question, some are gifted as ‘evangelistic speakers.’ Certainly, leaders in the above ministries and people are suited.

Your denomination will likely have others.

Consider who these people might be, and don’t hesitate to extend an invitation. Their strengths can then become you strengths in your event.
